HCG Weight Loss Therapy Programs

HCG Weight Loss The HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin) weight loss plan
was developed by a British doctor, Dr. A.T. W. Simeons.
HCG is a natural hormone excreted by the placenta during
pregnancy. The two main components of the HCG weight
loss plan include undergoing injectable therapy with the natural HCG hormone, combined with a 500 calorie diet of limited food
choices. Advocates of the HCG weight loss program purport
that the HCG injections therapy allows dieters to stave off the
side effects that are associated with low calorie diets,
such as:

  • Hunger
  • Lightheadedness
  • Fatigue
  • More

HCG alone will not make you lose weight; a strict diet plan must also be followed. The HCG weight loss plan, when followed properly, has produced up to 40 lbs of healthy weight loss for thousands of people. For most, the weight stays off and their lifestyles are greatly improved because the HCG weight loss plan allows dieters to find the reasons behind their weight management issues.

Effect of human chorionic gonadotropin on weight loss, hunger, and feeling of well-being
W. L. Asher, M.D.1 and Harold W. Harper, M.D.1

1.From the American Society of Bariatric Physicians Research Council, 333 West Hampden Avenue, Englewood, Colorado 80110

Twenty female patients on 500 to 550 kcal diets receiving daily injections of 125 IU of human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG) were compared with 20 female patients on 500 to 550 kcal diets receiving placebo injections. Patients in both groups were instructed to return for daily injections 6 days each week for a total of 36 injections (unless desired weight was achieved prior to this). The HCG group lost significantly more mean weight, had a significantly greater mean weight loss per injection, and lost a significantly greater mean percentage of their starting weight. The percentage of affirmative daily patient responses indicating “little or no hunger” and “feeling good to excellent” was significantly greater in the HCG group than in the placebo group. Additional investigation of the influence of HCG on weight loss, hunger, and well-being seems indicated.
